Tenikka studied massage therapy in her hometown of Buffalo, New York, where massage school requires twice as many hours as Texas. Her 1,124 hours of study included six different science classes, and a Japanese form of bodywork called Shiatsu, which uses acupressure to relax and restore the body in a non-invasive way. Tenikka’s masssage features unique stretches and long, slow strokes blended with firm, consistent pressure, resulting in deeper relaxation. She is very passionate about massage therapy, and strongly believes that the body heals itself with some assistance. She likes to customize each session to a client’s needs, and can incorporate elements of Trigger Point Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Sports Massage and Deep Tissue.
